"Whether it's using my Frio 65 to keep fish fresh in Bradenton, FL or Port O'Connor, TX, keeping duck fresh after a morning duck hunt on the boat, keeping big game fresh after a big hunt, or just taking the cooler and my 24/7 cup to the beach with the guys or my wife during spring training, you can guarantee you're going to catch me with a Frio product very close by. Hunting, fishing, and baseball can be very dirty and tough sports, but knowing I have a tough product with The Frio brand on it right beside me, makes the adventures even more worthwhile."

I've been playing baseball ever since I could pick up a ball and bat. Growing up it was the only thing I knew and of course it's every kids dream to play Major League Baseball in front of thousands of fans under the lights. Coming out of high school, that dream felt far-fetched, as I only had one offer to further my baseball career, and that was at Texarkana junior college. I played one year there and started to make a name for myself as I received a few more offers after that season to some bigger Division 1 four year schools. I chose to go play at Sam Houston State University after my first year at Texarkana. There, I played for David Pierce, who is now the head coach at the University of Texas. I continued to make even more of a name for myself under the guidance of he and his staff and started to get some interest from Major League scouts. Since signing with the Pirates in 2014, I've made it to their AA affiliation, the Altoona curve, after only two full seasons in the organization.

After my junior season, I was drafted in the 6th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates and chose to leave the school and sign with the Pirates before my senior season to fulfill my childhood dream. I've always been an occasional fisherman and hunter living in the country and appreciating the land and wildlife where I've grown up in Navasota, Texas. Playing professional baseball has given me more chances to be an avid fisherman with our spring training facilities located in Bradenton, Florida and even more chances to go duck hunting with our offseason being right in the middle of duck/deer season.
