TEXAS FISH SLAYERS

Our ultimate goal is to help people learn how to fish. We have to put our time in on the water to get our captain's license, but we try to help some people out along the way. We will guide when the time is right, but for now we represent the Weekend Warriors - working Monday through Friday to pay the bills and fishing when we can. Often times we are working when optimal conditions come up, but we fish when we can not when we want just like everyone else.

Texas Fish Slayers always fishes by the code. We release 90% of the fish we catch and we only keep what we eat.

MICHAEL "SHARKIE" LENTZ

When I was four years old I caught my first fish - I'm 33 now and the passion never left me. I fished the Midwest for most of my life and caught just about every fresh water species there was in Illinois and Wisconsin. I always loved to fish for pan fish and my ultimate favorite was Walleye. Lucky for me my wife wanted to move south, and four years ago I got to fish saltwater for the first time. Let's just say I feel like a kid again!

TIM HALEY

As a kid I grew up in Upstate New York. As soon as I could my friends and I rode bikes to farm ponds, rivers, lakes, and streams fishing for all kinds of species, Walleye, northern pike, bass, trout, and salmon all within a 1/2 hr from home. When I got older I moved out west and fished in some of the most beautiful places on the earth. I can't describe to you what it's like to be fishing as the sun comes up over the Eastern Sierra Mountains, but it changes you. I've loved fishing for as long as I can remember. It's part of me. It doesn't matter if I'm catching blue gill or trolling for Pelagics I love it all.
