Hunting has been a way of life for as long as I can remember. I can remember from the time I was around 3 years old in Northeast Ohio, my father leaving the house and hunting all day or week. He’d come home with an Ohio Whitetail to feed our family over the next year. I always wanted to go and, when I was 5 years old, I finally got a chance to go out and hunt with my dad. From that point on I was hooked, and what I thought was a hobby became a passion.

At the age of 6 years old, I took my first whitetail, and from that point forward I never missed the week of gun season in Ohio. When I turned 14, I picked up my first bow and killed my first whitetail during Ohio bow season. That’s where my passion became an addiction.

If I’m not chasing spring gobblers or whitetail deer during the fall rut, you can find me on the lake catching dinner or hunting a farmer’s field for the sneaky coyotes. Hunting is important to me for many reasons, it has been a family tradition for many years and I plan on continuing that tradition with my family. There’s also nothing better than watching the woods come alive with the morning sun. But I would say my number one reason is having the opportunity to bring food home to feed my family and friends.
